A contemporary take on Mozart’s opera, Così? will examine and expose gender stereotypes. Six college students debate the nature of attraction and fidelity, as well as the perception of gender. As their senior year draws to a close and they prepare to go their separate ways, events at a party cause them to reconsider everything they thought they knew about each other – and themselves. This compact English adaptation will include highlights from the original opera, set into a new book that upends the Mozart and Da Ponte classic.
