MUSA plays Color Festivals in San Francisco

  • The Episcopal Church of St. Mary the Virgin 2325 Union Street San Francisco, CA, 94123 United States (map)

Come and hear Derek Tam and MUSA perform the Color Festivals, originally written for Derek Elevate Ensemble two years ago! This work, for harpsichord and string quartet, is being brought back to life.

From their website:

Explore modern music written for harpsichord and string quartet in the fourth installment of our "Art Inspiring Art" concert series. This year, we feature Bay Area composer Nicolas Lell Benvaides's The Color Festivals (2016), inspired by children's tales from the past century. Also on the program are Walter Leigh's Concertino (1934) and one a delightful keyboard quintet by Padre Antonio Soler (1729-1783).
