In the silver glow of the ghost light
I can make out the shades of the stories of old

Now the slats are swabbed clean
The costumes are airing
The drama suspended, the actors at rest

Tomorrow we’ll retrace our steps
Every gesture rehearsed
Each intention set
And yet
And yet

A new story waits to be told
